The Jacket also has a W2 laminated outer shell which features a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating to prevent water from being absorbed. The DWR is the first barrier against the weather and means that any water will bounce off the Jacket, keeping the fabric dry. Please note - DWR needs to be reapplied and can be retreated to improve its performance. Due to DWR being applied to the face of the fabric, it is easily affected by dirt and oils, which soon coat the DWR layer, hindering the performance. DWR can also be removed by regular cleaners, so DWR should always be treated with a specific product which can refresh it.The Fortitude's W2 laminated construction boasts a waterproof rating of over 10,000mm/cm2 (Hydrostatic Head), which results in superior levels of water repellence, breathability and high performance. The fabric can hold a 1cm2 column of water that is 10m tall before any water will leak through.Additionally, the Jacket has a breathability rating of 10,000g/m2/24h. This means that 10,000g of moisture vapor can pass through a square meter of the fabric used over a 24 hour period, and the rider would still be dry.The comfort of the rider has been highly considered during the development and creation of this Jacket. HDWool has been included in the removable Evertex Jersey Knit lining - HDWool has been made in Yorkshire, UK and is a highly breathable and natural form of temperature regulation which keeps the rider cooler in the heat and warmer in the cold. This Wool is simple to care for and also odour resistant. HDWool insulation is manufactured with maximum waste recovery and without the use of plastics or harmful chemicals, making it an ecological alternative, graded as 100% renewable and biodegradable. Hand-selected and credibly sourced through certified non-mulesed supply chains and ethically managed with local farming cooperatives.Inside the Jacket there is a soft brushed lightweight mesh lining along with two direct-to-body vents with MAX zips, magnetic closure and two exhausts to maximise the ventilation and airflow reaching and cooling the rider. In addition, the MAX zip opening at the front of the Jacket has an Amara zip cover for added comfort and it also prevents the zip from rubbing against the body causing irritation.Wolf have been able to reach a high level of protection which has not impacted the style of the Jacket or the comfort for the rider. This Jacket has reach full CE Certification to Level A, meaning that it is deemed suitable for urban riding with Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees) requiring one second of abrasion resistance at 265.3rpm and half a second at 147.4rpm in Zone 2 (Arms, Chest, Torso, Legs and Feet). D30 T5 EVO PRO X Armour which has been CE certified to Level 2 has been included for the Shoulders and the Elbows, and there is a pocket included which will fit the D30 VIPER 2L Back Protector - sold separately.
