MaxTex is a high denier synthetic fabric that offers a good balance of protection and ergonomics. These jeans also have a fixed mesh liner which is doubled up with the removable quilted full lining and the fixed SinAqua waterproof liner. The zips are made using MAX/SAB and the jeans are held together using core spun polyester thread. These jeans also feature 2 outer pockets that can hold some of your belongings. You can easily make these jeans more comfortable by using the waist adjusters to help get that perfect fit.These jeans are CE Rated: AA which means the protection on offer is suited to touring gear. It specifies two seconds of abrasion resistance in Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees) at 412.6rpm (about 70km/h), one second at 265.3rpm in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet) and 0.5 seconds at 147.4rpm (the equivalent of around 25kmh) in Zone 3 (inner arms, torso and legs). The hip and knee armour is rated CE Level 1 which means the maximum transmitted force must be below 18 kN, and no single value shall exceed 24 kN.
