Torres Lentil Twists may look like fusilli (maybe you can tell the kids that to keep them away), but they're actually a new and unique form of snacking perfection. Packed with vegetable protein and flavoured with a combination of honey and salt that seems to cause the brain to release those same mood-enhancing chemicals that salted caramel does, these crunchy bites are fast becoming our new favourite. They're so moreish, they're driving us round the twist. In 1969 Manuel Torres and his wife Ángeles Medel opened a potato crisp stand near the beach at Premià de Mar, just outside Barcelona. Their sons have now taken over and they continue to handcraft snacks using the best ingredients on the Iberian Peninsula, salt from evaporated sea water and the expertise of generations, ensuring that the final product will always have an exceptional flavour. They only began exporting in 2007, so the fact their crisps are so well known is a testament to their quality.
