We all know that protein-rich quinoa deserves its superfood status, but did you know that the Tarahumara people of Mexico run ultramarathon distances through the desert fuelled by a citrus and chia seed fresca called 'iskiate'? In 1969 Manuel Torres and his wife Ángeles Medel opened a potato crisp stand near the beach at Premià de Mar, just outside Barcelona.
