Black Mitcham peppermint is highly aromatic with a piercing flavour that blows through you like an arctic wind, but it's notoriously difficult to grow. Although it used to be native to England, this tricky herb had largely disappeared, but Summerdown have managed to cultivate over 100 acres from cuttings found in America.
