Opal acrylic umbrella table lamp by Verner Panton. First created in 1971, Panthella is one of Verner Panton's most celebrated designs. Grounded on the principle of creating a lamp in which the base and shade act as a reflector, Panthella's light source is tucked away under a milk-white hemispherical lamp shade. Sculpted from glossy opal acrylic, the light channels downward through a perfectly formed trumpet-like lamp base to create an even spread of diffused light from the surface of the shade.
