Varnished metal and amber glass table lamp. Taking inspiration from the age-old tradition of combining hand-blown glass and industrial metal, the Metal Glass 1 Table Lamp has been created by a collaboration between Diesel and the luxurious Italian lighting brand Foscarini. This pyrex cylindar table lamp has an opaque quality and is strikingly transparent to the eye. Handmade by skilled glass artisans, the misty exterior of the Metal Glass 1 is achieved by a chemical reaction between soda powder and the components of a traditional glass paste mixture. When the light is turned on, the resulting reaction is extraordinary. An atmospheric illumination is created around the elongated light chamber as an infinite wave of bubbles appear changing the look of the glass entirely.
