Setting the standard by which all other seatposts are judged, the Thomson Elite InLine Seatpost is over 40% stronger than any of its rivals on an ultimate strength test. With over double the fatigue life of any other production models that were tested, the Elite is supremely durable and offers superior comfort. The tube and head are integral-machined from a single piece of high-strength 7000 series aluminium and the post weighs an impressively light 188 grams (250 length) for the road bike version and 228 grams (330 length) for the mountain bike version. Engineered for optimal strength-to-weight ratio, the post incorporates a bending fuse design to prevent catastrophic failure. Unlike the competition, Thomson's Elite InLine Seatpost was the only inline seatpost that did not have a catastrophic failure under extreme stress. It's strong enough to withstand 350 foot-lbs of torque.
