Description
This plant will provide an exotic feel to any garden with its coloured foliage. This does start as a small plant but will eventually grow and look like a palm-like tree. This is hardy and can tolerate tough conditions making it perfect for coastal gardens that have salt air, dry soils and exposed sites.Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Cordylines need little attention, but will require some winter protection should temperatures dip below-5C (23F).
