From early March, Thompson & Morgan Japanese Quince ‘Salmon Horizon’ bears orange-pink, cup-shaped flowers on naked stems which are quickly followed by a cloak of glossy, green foliage covering the spiny branches. A final display of large, aromatic golden fruits is produced in autumn, which are edible, and can be made into jellies and preserves. Thompson & Morgan Chaenomeles ‘Salmon Horizon’ has a spreading habit ideal for large borders, training against a wall or for creating an intruder-proof barrier.
