Description
The North Face VECTIV Fastpack FUTURELIGHT Walking Shoes

If you're looking for a pair of lightweight hiking shoes that won't weigh you down, then the Fastpack FUTURELIGHT Shoes are a perfect fit. Featuring a breathable waterproof FUTURELIGHT membrane and a moisture-controlling OrthoLite footbed, they're as light as a feather without skimping on wet weather protection.

FUTURELIGHT Upper

The uppers of the VESTIV Fastpack FUTURELIGHT Shoes are made from abrasive-resistant performance mesh materials, to provide feet with the perfect amount of breathability. This mesh is covered in micro-perforations which allow heat and vapour to escape whilst simultaneously allowing fresh air to flow in for a pleasant cooling sensation. The flexible mesh moves with your foot, allowing for ultimate comfort and responsiveness. Alongside this, the uppers are complemented with FUTURELIGHT fabrics, which are a breathable and waterproof membrane, to keep you feeling as comfortable as possible. This means feet stay dry from rainy conditions and protected from moisture both inside and outside of the shoe; keeping you feeling fresh and focused. The shoes also feature a protective moulded TPU toe cap and no-sew mud-guard for keeping feet protected against knocks, bumps and grazes. A gusseted tongue and moulded Lycra collar further prevent chafing and abrasion from occurring inside the shoe, and further keeps feet shielded from dirt and debris. Completing the uppers are double-punched eye rows for fine-tuned lacing, allowing you to get a secure and comfortable fit, whilst also preventing in-shoe slippage.

VECTIV Midsole

Designed to maximise energy on the trails, the midsole has been constructed using The North Face's revolutionary VECTIV technology. The VECTIV system works to provide runners with more energy return by reducing fatigue and helping them prepare for the next toe-off. VECTIV technology minimises energy loss, increases propulsion, and delivers an abundance of structural support making running feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PBs. A single-density 3D TPU plate underfoot offers multi-directional stability, with rocker midsole geometry for long-lasting forward propulsion, whilst an Ortholite X55 footbed provides additional comfort that remains lightweight and breathable and made from 5% recycled rubber content. Completing the midsole construction of the VECTIV Fastpack FUTURELIGHT shoes is a high-rebound, single-density EVA compound to keep feet comfortable and ready to tackle the long trail ahead.

SurfaceCNTRL Rubber Outsole

Designed to be hardwearing and grippy the VECTIV Fastpack FUTURELIGHT's have been developed using The North Face's signature SurfaceCNTRL Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been specially designed to ensure traction on both wet and dry surfaces. Not only does the outsole work exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain but it also works to ensure multi-directional traction on a wide range of surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet, is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsole are 4 mm lugs that provide a great balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
