Terracare Upper
Constructed using eco-friendly Terracare leather, the Mercury IV Mid is light and stable whilst giving you the protection of any hiking shoe. The Terracare leather has been uniquely produced using state-of-the-art methods with minimal water use and the electricity which has been used to construct this shoe is from renewable energy sources showing. This soft Terracare leather has been given a GORE-TEX finish, making this shoe completely waterproof, whilst being waterproof this shoe is also breathable allowing sweat to escape through the tongue keeping your feet well insulated as well as, cool and dry. Furthering the waterproofing on the shoe is in the elastic GORE-TEX tongue construction ensuring that water can't get in from the top, and keeping all parts of your feet well protected. A 3D Memofoam has been added through the lining of the shoe, providing you additional comfort with the shoe contouring perfectly to your feet, allowing you to make these shoes your own.
EVA MidsoleMammut have utilised an EVA midsole in the Mercury IV's providing you with excellent cushioning throughout. They have strategically mapped out a variety of dense EVA in the midsole of the shoe giving you the correct amount of support throughout key areas. The layer which resides under the toe offers the sensitivity you need to keep the forefoot well protected. Memofoam insole is also present through the midsole, ensuring you have more of an individual fit, and excellent cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel.
Vibram OutsoleThe Mercury VI Mid GTX Walking Shoes have a Vibram compound present through the outsole of these shoes. This is an exceptional source of stability and grip for your feet, providing you with an optimum level of sure-footedness on day hikes.
