Heavy-weight brushed fabric to the front holds in warmth and does a good job of resisting cold winds too. A medium-weight fabric to the back maintains warmth but offers greater breathability so you don't get clammy during harder efforts. The extra length over the front of the knees adds coverage to this vulnerable area. And it's made with a water-resistant material with raw-cut edges to give a smooth and irritation-free fit. The bib and straps also use a brushed fabric for warmth. They're perforated to enhance breathability, regulating body heat nicely.
