The twin layers of pocket springs in the Alford combine with the hair rich luxurious natural upholstery for a brilliantly supportive and lofty mattress. The two layers of pocket springs move independently and so provide the best postural support as they follow and support your body shape and weight. The individual springs are sewn in fabric pockets and are hand-nested in a honeycomb pattern and tied with linen cord as this construction eliminates movement transfer for a more peaceful sleep. A layer of hypo-allergenic fibre is used underneath the mattress fabric cover this layer is sterilised and dust free therefore ideal for allergy sufferers. A combination of cotton and luxurious soft white fibre is formed into a deep layer for guaranteed quality and softness whilst the M-Pure layer is a natural fire resistant treated fabric. This non chemical FR treatment uses biologically based ingredients that make it bio-degradable environmentally friendly and 100% sustainable. A blend of wool cotton and hair provides a durable insulating layer of natural resilience luxurious loft and provides excellent support whilst the cotton is excellent at controlling body temperature through its superior moisture wicking properties.
