Museum Selection Port & Starboard Cufflinks
Description
Smart cufflinks reflecting the nautical terms for left and right. ‘Starboard’, derives from the Old English ‘steorbord’, meaning the side on which the ship is steered – the right; whilst the Royal Navy ordered that ‘port’ be used from 1844 to replace variations on ‘larboard’ which had become confusing. Rhodiumplated with epoxy resin, with swivel backs.
