The Northwave Extreme XC Winter GTX boots feature a triple-density Speedlight 3D Carbon sole with a carbon insert in the pedal area and a stiffness index of 12.0 which is comparable with their other high-end shoes and means you don't compromise on performance for comfort. The water- and windproof Gore-Tex® Duratherm Kelvin membrane is the best for wicking away any sweat and keeps your feet perfectly insulated and warm even at -15 degrees C so you can stay outside for longer. Riding through the winter can be fun and will put you in great stead for the summer months but there's nothing worse than cold, wet feet to cut your day short.
