On the bike, it allows efficient pedalling and grips flat pedals firmly - if you prefer, a removable pad allows you to enjoy clipped-in pedalling too. when you're off the bike, the mud-shedding open tread is quick to conform to the terrain, giving sure-footed confidence at all times.
