Description
Grown in a sunny spot in the garden, Lonicera kamtschatica 'Myberry Bee' will reward you with a supply of tasty sweet berries which you can eat straight from the bush or bake in a cake or pie or even make into jam. Honeyberries are considered a 'superfruit' and fetch a high price in the supermarket, but it's very easy to grow your own. They have fragrant creamy yellow flowers in spring, followed by masses of oval blue berries in early summer. Honeyberries are self fertile but planting them in close proximity to one another will improve pollination and increase your crop of tasty fruits. Height: 1.5m (5'). Spread: 1.2m (4'). Caution: It should be noted that not all berries of the Lonicera family are edible.
