Description
Prunus avium, also commonly known as ‘Wild Cherry’, is a popular hedge shrub considered to be one of the most ornamental hedge species. This versatile hedge shrub is perfect for inclusion in hedging schemes, or it can be allowed to grow as a hedgerow tree. The new leaves and masses of white flowers appear at the same time in spring followed by small, red wild cherries in summer. The green foliage turns yellow and red in autumn before falling off.
