Description
Cornus ‘Flaviramea’ is a spectacular variety of dogwood that creates golden yellow thickets that stand out in hedges, wildlife and woodland areas! You can also expect delicate pearly white blooms to appear, than will gradually transcend into berries and then finally pale green leaves! This beautiful hardy shrub is low maintenance and requires minimal attention for it to thrive. Grow Cornus plants in any well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun. Feed and water dogwoods regularly until fully established. Once established, they will require less attention. To encourage plenty of colourful stems, Dogwood will need regular pollarding in early spring. Cut back all dogwood stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning. Caution: Dogwood berries are harmful if eaten. Irritant to skin and eyes.
