Description
The Carbon Stilo+ SPD-SL Road Shoes are all about race-winning precision and to this end they feature the high-performance DUAL FCS Fitting Closure System with high-performance BOA IP-1 reels. A simple turn forward tightens the shoe and turn back to loosen, you can adjust on the fly, giving a custom fit for sprints, climbs and changes in weather as feet swell with heat. Thanks to the dual dials and 4 guides per reel you'll quickly and easily get a comfortable and personalised fit across the upper with no pressure points to worry about. The laser drilled upper and vented tongue offer incredible comfort and keep sweat at bay, preventing hot spots during long hard rides. Gaerne has also optimised comfort inside the shoe, the EPS Comfort Insole supporting the foot as you put pressure on the pedals, and with a perforated finish it allows air circulation for freshness when the heat is on. Meanwhile, TSS technology (Tarsal Support System) positions the foot perfectly inside the shoe, ensuring a smooth and fluid pedal stroke To the rear, an injection-moulded carbon heel cup is anatomically shaped and will not deform or weaken, keeping your foot perfectly stable as you pedal. Inside the non-slip, anti-tendonitis shaping offers incredible comfort no matter how far you ride. Turn the Stiffness up to 12 - Gaerne EPS Lightweight Full Carbon Sole The Gaerne EPS lightweight full carbon sole is an ultra light and ultra thin sole unit, with a stiffness of 12 out of 12 on Gaerne's proprietary stiffness scale. The carbon weave has been optimised to reduce weight without sacrificing power transfer and stability is assured thanks to careful sculpting of the shape in the plantar arch area. With four air vents, you'll enjoy comfort even in warmer weather and anti-slip toe and heel pads (heel is replaceable) you have a sure grip when off the bike. With an increase of 9mm in cleat adjustment and an alignment scale printed on the sole you'll always get cleat position correct.
