When you're riding and racing mountain bikes over the toughest of terrain you want to know you can clip in and out of your pedals with ease while maintaining sure-footed control as you pedal. Thanks to the wide and unobtrusive cleat box, the Transition SPD MTB Shoes let you clip in and rip mountain bike trails with unrivalled ease. Once you're on the pedals the tapered and serrated Powerdrive shank and Rubber Kinetics rubber sole unit give you the ideal level of stiffness and grip for smooth and rapid power transfers - ideal for accelerating rapidly out of turns and berms. The feet are of course vulnerable to bumps and bruises off-road and here, Ride Concepts uses D3O shock absorption technology. It's deployed to both to the High Impact Zone Insole and ankle collar, to keep you comfortable and protected from any hits, vibrations and bumps from the trail. A high-rise EVA foam midsole also soaks up vibrations for even greater rough riding comfort. With moulded rubber toe and heel protection, the Transition shoes are easily tough and burly enough to take on any trail with you.
