Frédéric Malle's 1Er Mai Candle unveils a fragrance reminiscent of lily of the valley hiden in the shade of the underbrush. It's the perfect illustration of the fresh and vegetal transparency of this flower, which is as rosy as it is jasmine-like. It's created by Dominique Ropion, one of the greatest connoisseurs of white flowers, who relied on historic formulas for lily of the valley fragrances as well as elements of headspace for this scent. Completely handmade, Frederic Malle's unique candle is composed of vegetal and tallow waxes and presented in a matte porcelain jar in a minimalistic colour dichotomy; white on the outside and red on the inside. Burn time 50 Hours Do not burn longer than two hours or unattended. Allow to solidify before relighting. Should black smoke appear, trim the wick. It should be clean and no longer than 1/4" (6 mm).
