HELP WITH DIAGNOSING FLUSH VALVE ISSUEIf you have water running into the toilet pan continuously and are not sure if you need to purchase a spare part / replace the flush valve or inlet/fill valve you can try this simple test to determine. TEST: If you turn the water off (from the stop cock bringing water into the house OR an isolating valve on the cistern), leave it for up to an hour, does the cistern empty?If the cistern empties then the problem is with the flush valve seal or flush valve itself. If the cistern does not empty then it will be the inlet/fill valve that is faulty.
