Description
Colorful fused glass drop-out vessel with stripes of green, blue, black & white. This unique, wonky vase is 5- tall & 2- wide at the widest point. Strips of glass & glass stringers were arranged on top of a glass base, then fused together in my kiln to form a blank. The blank was placed back in the kiln on a mold with a hole in the center & fused again. When the glass gets hot enough, it drops through the hole & forms a vessel. The excess glass is carefully cut from the top of the vessel & the rim is made smooth with a lap grinder. I sandblasted this vase & polished it with a special glass sealer to give it a soft, matte finish. My signature is engraved on the bottom. Green, Blue, Black & White Striped Fused Glass Vase
