Preowned Arcoroc of France Bowl,Star on Bottom,Crystal Glass.This beautiful bowl measures 7 in diameter & is 4 deep plus 4 small bowls 5 Description DIAMANT STARBURST PATTERN - This pattern was manufactured by Arcoroc, which is part of the Luminarc line made in France by Cris D'Arques/Durand International. It was created in 1965 & designed by J.G. Durand. This popular vintage pattern has been retired (discontinued) & is 45+ years old. It has become very collectible! Arcoroc is recognized worldwide for its genuine heat - & shock-resistant tempered glassware known as Verre Trempe. The glass has been specially tempered to be 2 - to 5-times stronger than regular glass for added resistance to breakage & hot liquids. These bowls are perfect for soup, salad, berries, or ice cream. These exceptionally showy high-quality crystal pressed-glass bowls have a very striking geometric design in the Art Deco style. The pattern is pressed into the outside of the thick & heavy clear glass leaving the inside perfectly smooth for easy cleaning. The bottoms of the bowls are slightly indented. Deeply-cut miters form a large blazing star design in the center surrounded by a crisscross or diamond-quilt pattern. They're marked Arcoroc France in raised letters on the bottom edge. Up the sides of the bowls are two alternating size deeply-cut triangular miters that look like rays of the sun. With all the facets, they sparkle like diamonds. It's an elegant way to serve food of any kind.
