Description
Hand turned wooden bowl made from Red Bud. Signed by the artist (David Roberts) & engraved with type of wood used in the base. This piece has a sculpted lid with small knob handle, & lines up perfectly with the grain lines of the bowl when put in place. Finished & sealed with Tung oil, which adds extra patina & sheen, & brings out the natural wood grain & color. The finish also provides a waterproof protective seal, preserving & protecting the bowl. Measures 2.75 inches wide, 3 inches tall with lid (1.75 inches without lid), & has a bowl depth of 1 inch. Perfect for storing jewelry, trinkets, treasures or as a small showcase piece on its own. To clean: Use soft cloth & water, & let air dry. David Roberts has been turning wood for over a decade, studying under Bill Wallace, & most recently was recognized & received 2nd place for free turning wood bowls at the NC State Fair. He loves working & experimenting with different types of hardwoods, & draws upon generations past of woodworkers as he creates his unique pieces.
