Small, minimalist, collectible, vintage small ceramic elephant white vase by famous Rosenthal. Designed in the late 1980s & sold in the early 1990s by the Dutch ceramic & textile artist Johan van Loon (1934 - 2020)-for Rosenthal Studio Line Germany, it was the cult series Fun o'fant. Elephant vases in 2 sizes - this is a small one. Small, perfect for a shelf or window sill, minimalist, white elephant vase for something green or colorful - like a rose or ... a pencil! Johan van Loon cooperated over the years with famous porcelain makers, like Rosenthal or Royal Copenhagen with his abstract designs of tableware & ceramic sculptures. in 1962 Van Loon took part of an exhibition of six young ceramists from Amsterdam in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, which signified the rebirth of artisan ceramics in the Netherlands.
