This mirror is something of an enigma, it has the great geometric lines of an Art Deco mirror but a superb flowing design synonymous with the art nouveau period. The mirror shape has a wide top reducing in size at the bottom. This a single mirror plate with rear etched designs & has a deep bevelled edge. The centre design is a flowing floral depiction & is the largest section of this mirror. The outer shaped edge is nine sided, giving that geometric shape. in between the outer & inner designs are four sections, the top & bottom are bronze coloured & the two side sections are silver. This really is a design to get to grips with. There are no deep scratches, chips or nibbles on this lovely mirror, there is some minor foxing & small silvering loss on the edge but this negligible & does not detract from the overall quality & reflectivity. The mirror is mounted on a wooden backboard with traditional metal clips & the original fixtures & fittings are attached to the rear too.
