Carl Larsson, one of the Nordic region's most appreciated artists of all time. His pictures, especially the idyllic depictions of home & life at Lilla Hyttns in Sundborn, Dalarna, Sweden. Here we have two paintings/reproductions with gold-colored wooden frames with glass from the 60's: Esbjrn, one of the Larssons' 8 children, was painted by Carl in 1900. The painting of his son was later given away to one of Carl's friends. Schackspelet/ The chess set, was painted by Carl in 1902, depicts the children Kersti & Esbjrn. The game of chess, is included in the book about Larssons. These paintings have glass & a covered back with strings for hanging. They have been taped but this has mostly come off. I think the framework is handmade, probably older than the 60s & they show some wear & tear on the gold coating. Please look at the photos for further details, thank you! Carl Larsson (1853-1919).
