This lovely checked Harris Tweed is made up of blue, turquoise & just a touch of grey with overchecks of pale orange, maroon, moss green & sky blue & would make a gorgeous statement piece in any rustic or Scottish themed decor. The smaller lampshades, either drum or oval would make a great shade for a gin bottle lamp or table lamp. This tweed is shown here in the 20cm diameter lampshade as a Harris Gin Bottle lamp. It would also make a beautiful bedside table lamp, floor lamp or ceiling lampshade. Harris Tweed is, of course, the iconic brand of tweed that is only made on the island of Harris lying off the west coast of Scotland in the Outer Hebrides & is a very popular choice for teaming with an empty Gin bottle & Bottle Lamp Adaptor to make a complete Gin Bottle Lamp. The availability of tweeds fluctuates & I have different tweeds in stock at different times but if there is something in particular that you'd like I will do my utmost to obtain it for you. This Harris Tweed lampshade is carefully handmade in my workshop in Inverness, Scotland. The lampshade is a drum shape with a rolled edge & white heat resistant lining. It comes complete with Harris Tweed authentication label sewn on to the front & a Lucy Wagtail branded button on the back. The light fitting is 40mm/28mm a standard UK/EU fitting. This lampshade is available in the following (approximate) shapes & sizes: Drum 35cms (14") diameter x 21cms height 40cms (16") diameter x 25cms height Oval (a great shape for narrow shelves or small bedside tables) 40cms at its widest, 29cms & 21cm height The height of your lampshade can be customised to suit your preference & larger sizes to suit floor lamps or standard lamps may also be available, please check my listing for large shades for ceilings or floor lamps.
