Japanese cloisonne vase with blooming roses. There is a blooming pinkish rose with pink edged petals, green leaves, vase displays a beautiful colour background that I would describe as a celadon colour. Japanese cloisonne vase which I believe it dates from around 1920. The vase is fitted with silver rims at the lip & the base, & is unmarked Believing it is from Ando Company's Japan cloisonne enamels are known as shippo-yaki & the mid-19th century saw the production of very high quality wares in the early centers Nagoya. One of the most renowned workshops was the Ando Cloisonn Company, founded by Ando Jubei (1876-1953). Dimensions Height = 18cm Rim diameter = 6cm Width = 6.1cm Circumference 32cm Weight 619g To the rim it is slightly damaged the rest of the vase is in very good condition.
