Scandinavian, elegant & understated design was at the heart of the Mid Century Modern ethos, & this nest of three tables typifies that philosophy. Constructed from a solid Teak frame, possibly "aframosia", & fabulous grained veneers (certainly some of the most attractive I’ve seen on a set of tables), they are as stylish & functional now as the day that they were made, although with no stamps or branding visible, unfortunately I cannot seem to pinpoint the exact maker. Given the age of these tables, they are in superb condition, with good colour, beautiful grain & very little signs of use...they have been treasured & looked after. Used separately, they give you a wide range of possibilities around the modern home. The lower tables slot into rails from the tables above so that they stay together if moved. Versatile, slim & streamlined, they would be especially great for small, modern, spaces. These tables are beautifully made, are solid & sturdy & in good original vintage condition, with lovely tone & grain, sturdy legs with no wobbles, breaks or repairs. The tops are in lovely condition with no unsightly marks or deep scratches, only a chip to the smallest table. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions. The tables have been cleaned, degreased & lightly sanded, then a few coats of Teak oil applied; this emphasises the grain, feeds the wood & assists with waterproofing the tops of the tables. It is my understanding that pieces of furniture that don’t have stamps, stickers or markings can be every bit as authentic as those that do; usually the weight of an item is a good guide to quality!
