West German pottery fat lava vase. A genuine vintage 1960's classic.. Rarity 89/100 Condition 93/100 Made by world famous Bay Keramik of West Germany. Glossy orange lava, with abstract designs all round. Glossy dark chocolate inside. Known as a Daisy vase, for the abstract daisy flower designs. Marked on the base with Bay, W-Germany & the correct period Bay Keramik model numbers. & has the original 1960's factory Bay label. 25 cm or 9.8 inches tall. So a nice taller sized vase. Bay Keramik, one of the greatest producers of West German ceramics in the 60's, reportedly ceased commercial production of art pottery in 1971. So it is probably around 50 years old. Yet timeless... A classic design by the legendary Bodo Mans. You don't see too many of these Daisies anymore... Check the photos & my condition estimate above. Use the zoom. Just stunning..! The possibility of other factory variations in the glazes... Possible signs of use or age. But otherwise... in good to even very, very good collector's condition. Any other white marks in the photos are reflection or dust. All of our vases can be filled with water & used for floral displays if desired..
