1996 Guinness Poster, Fleadh Cheoil na Heireann, Harp, Listowel, The Music of Ireland, advertising lager beer, wall art decor This poster is advertising Guinness, celebrating the festival of the Music of Ireland the Fleadh Cheoil na Heireann in Listowel in 1996. Dimensions: 23.5 in x 16.5 in (60 cm x 42 cm) Condition: there is a fold in the poster & some white marks, some small stains on right edge, see photos. The Fleadh Cheoil is an Irish music festival run by Comhaltas Ceoltir ireann (CC), a non-profit organisation. The festival includes live music events as well as competition. Each year a single town or city hosts the Fleadh: it has been held in Mullingar, Sligo, & Tullamore, among others. There are various stages to the competition. in Ireland there are county & provincial competitions leading to the All-Ireland Fleadh. in Britain there are regional, then national stages of qualification for the All-Ireland. North America has two regional qualifying Fleadh Cheoil. The Mid-Atlantic Fleadh covers the Eastern Seaboard, eastern Canada & the Maritimes. The Midwest Fleadh covers the rest of North America from Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta & Detroit to San Francisco. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. These posters are sent as unframed.
