It shows Tintin on a striking background of orange & blue with his sidekick Snowy. You won't find this anywhere else. Printed in England by Methuen Books. Dimensions: 23.5 in x 19 in (60 cm x 49 cm) Condition: repaired tear bottom left, spot top right, previously folded, see photos. The Adventures of Tintin (Les Aventures de Tintin)is a series of 24 bande dessine albums created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, who wrote under the pen name Herg. The series was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century. By 2007, a century after Herg's birth in 1907, Tintin had been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies, & had been adapted for radio, television, theatre & film. The series is set during the 20th century. Its hero is Tintin, a courageous young Belgian reporter & adventurer aided by his faithful dog Snowy (Milou in the original French edition). Other allies include the brash & cynical Captain Haddock, the intelligent but hearing-impaired Professor Calculus (French: Professeur Tournesol), incompetent detectives Thomson & Thompson (French: Dupont et Dupond), & the opera diva Bianca Castafiore.
