Description
This handmade ceramic vase was thrown on the wheel by myself, & my partner Amy Hoch (Blue Fire Pottery) painted it with a black underglaze & top & green on the bottom & carved out an intricate design, revealing the white clay underneath. This process was taught to her by a family in San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua & takes hours to complete. It was then fired to cone 10 with a clear glaze on top, giving it a lovely shine.
