Description
This large oval stele vase is 6-1/2 wide, 4 deep & 9 high. The outside features an overall geometric texture with a center panel of a stylized crashing wave pattern. The piece is finished with an overall breaking green-blue pigment stain that is wiped back, giving the piece a nice rustic appearance. The inside & top are glazed in a gloss firebrick red glaze. There is a 2 wide round opening in the top. This piece is high fired stoneware. It is one of a kind, although I make this shape & pigment/glaze combination often.
