This is a stunning, chunky solid silver pickle fork ring, that has been crafted from a Norwegian silver pickle fork by the silversmith Brodrene Lohne in the 'Dobell Rokoko' pattern circa 1940. I have crafted the ring from the full fork, to enhance its beautiful ornately shaped pierced handle, that elegantly wraps around the finger & highly polished finish. It is a very interesting piece of silver, that would make the most perfect & unique gift. A very individual ring that can be worn two different ways, & has definitely got the WOW factor! The ring at it's widest point ( height ) measures approx 25 mm & weighs 8 Grams The ring is available in sizes R, S, T, U, V, W or X ( including half sizes to a size X ) FOR US SIZE CONVERSION PLEASE SEE LAST PHOTO If you are not sure of your size & you already have a ring that you wear on the finger you would like a spoon ring for, please measure the inside diameter of that ring & I can calculate the size you will need from that measurement. Please see photo above. Every Halo Spoon Ring is individually hand crafted. The art of crafting spoon rings originated in England in the 1700's & were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses & have them turned into wedding rings. For a time you could tell who the servants were working for by the crest that appeared on their rings. No doubt convicts transported from England to Australia in the early 1800′s were convicted of such offences as ‘Stealing a Silver Spoon’ or ‘Larceny by a servant’.
