Fordite was originally named after a paint buildup in the Ford car plant was cut to form cabochons. The layers of paint had become so hard over the years it could be cut into cabochons & worked so that the layers built up over the years could be exposed. No two will ever be identical, these cabochons are from paint works at a Tuk Tuk factory in India.
