For more than 30 years from the 50s onwards, he created original lamps that revolutionized Swedish lighting art. With a background in both carpentry & the world of architecture, it was natural for him to shape the light using materials & colors. Hans-Agne Jakobsson's signature is soft, warm & subdued lighting that pleases the eye. Created with classic materials such as glass, organic wood veneers & brass - but also combined with sophisticated fringes in one of the more playful lamp designs that today has icon status. The experiments, the wealth of detail & a deep understanding of the many facets of light make each & every lamp a luminous work of art. Warm Nordic will continuously launch several of Hans-Agne Jakobsson's remarkable designs. Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) is known as a true master of the art of lighting & has left behind a strong design legacy. Many of the original lamps are today valuable collector's items, which are of great interest at international auctions.
