A little about the artist: John Jack Haldoupis, is an awarded Watercolor Artist, Theatre Designer & Director. As the youngest member ever elected into the National Watercolor Society at the age of 15; he was invited as an Artist-In-Residence at the Chautauqua institution, & won the National Scholastic Art Scholarship. His work has been exhibited & recognized nationally in such prestigious shows as: Watercolor USA, the National Watercolor Society Annual, The Rocky Mountain National; The Syracuse Show at the Everson Museum, plus the Rochester Finger Lakes Exhibition at the Memorial Art Gallery. As Artistic Director for Blackfriars Theatre in Rochester, NY for over 35 years he was responsible for costumes, props & directing most shows each season. He has been awarded the City Newspaper Lifetime Achievement Award & the Geva Theatre Legacy Award, & continues to design & paint sets for many local theatre groups. Jack, along with sister, Linda, run A Horse with Wings, improbable beautiful things in Rochester, NY a unique gift & home decor boutique. His theatre background lends itself beautifully to the design style at that customers immediately recognize as unique & spectacular.
