This beautiful fused glass floral drinks coaster (or candle mat) is inspired by the poppy fields & wildflowers of the British countryside. Orange & red poppy flowers. This has been handmade by me in my studio in rural Hampshire. I use a Bullseye brand of clear, colourless glass as the background & carefully place each glass stem & small pieces of hand-crushed red & orange glass onto it before fully fusing the assembled coaster in my kiln at nearly 800 degrees Celsius. There are usually two firings in the kiln size: approx 4 square (10cm x 10cm) I regularly hold workshops for students to make these; I am a professional artist with many years' worth of teaching experience. Photographs are usually taken by a window for natural light. The colours are an accurate representation on my monitor though might differ slightly on yours. Please check the background colours of the photos (i.e. white windowsill & hand colours). I will post this item via Royal Mail as a parcel.
