A pair of Art Deco ceramic vases. Hand painted flowers with gold accents. Numbers embossed + more numbers + England, but no name of the maker. They could be antique, but I cannot identify the maker or the molds. Purchased from a senior who inherited them from her aunt. These are really old was her words. There is no doubt they are in Art Deco style, but I cannot tell if they were from the original Art Deco period (early 1900s) although the seller believed they were. The lack of maker's name may be an evidence they may be antique as I read English ceramic companies started stamp their names around 1910-1920 before. However, there are Art Deco style items from 1950s ~ 1980s in vintage market. The popular design seems to repeat itself. My estimate (from 1950's) is really conservative estimate so that no one will be disappointed just in case. There are many surface chips. The hand painted design is in tact. No crazing.
