Serax Vase White Paper. Dimensions: Ø 62 x H 64 cm. Mixing art and design, the ''Milieux de vos tables'' collection is the work of internationally renowned Belgian designer: Isabelle de Borchgrave. Painter, stylist, visual artist: it’s difficult to define the talent of this woman as she has so many strings to her bow! She has made herself known all over the world thanks to her amazing trompe l'oeil creations made of paper. In her hands, paper is transformed and takes on the appearance of satin, lace, feathers ... Her paper dresses are real sculptures, three-dimensional paintings. For Serax, Isabelle de Borchgrave has designed a collection of paper cups painted by hand, directly inspired by Tunisian and Coptic ceramics. Hand-crafted, these trompe l'oeil pieces are true works of art that find a place in our daily lives. White and black have their origin among the Coptics (Christian inhabitants of ancient Egypt), and the oldest illustrations in the world. Isabelle has freely transposed her fantasy and imagination into an art form accessible to all. The paper cups are a canvas for her brushstrokes. With an imagination ever more stimulated by her knowledge and interpretation of art, Isabelle rethinks a world that flies around her like a dream.
