Description
Presented is an antique, American coin or sterling silver serving spoon made during the mid 19th century. This Aesthetic Movement piece was probably made by Gorham or John Wendt, it is definitely reminiscent of their work. The handle is done in Seal Top pattern & the top is finely hand engraved with a Gothic/Victorian script monogram of the letter F. The long, scalloped or ridged bowl has a gold wash. This piece is guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver. This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is minor surface wear to the gold wash, but there are no damages & no repairs. Length: 9 inches. Weight: 58 grams or 2 ounces.
