Presented is an early Victorian, English sterling silver large soup or serving spoon made by William Eaton of London in 1839. This piece is in the classical Fiddle pattern & the handle has an old, original monogram of the letter B at the top. The back of the spoon is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for London, a duty mark, a date letter D for the year 1839 & a maker's mark for William Eaton. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. There are no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals & no repairs.
