Description
Handmade, wheel thrown, ceramic, high iron stoneware vase, fired in a soda kiln. Dimensions: 6.5 tall to jar rim, 4 wide. Opening is 2 Each piece I make has some aspect that tries to push a unique result out of the kiln. Sometimes I brush the work with an iron oxide, incorporate wood ash, soda ash or slip, or intentionally glaze thinly before the piece is fired to try & get a unique finish that allows the iron in the clay to burn through & enhance the pieces overall rustic appeal.
