A collection of three vintage storage pots, formed of white stoneware ceramic. This items would have been sold as food storage jars in the era before plastics were used, & as such are perfect for forming a zero waste, eco kitchen. The jars are formed of stoneware, & are glazed with a high shine. The jars are all of a cylindrical shape, & match in appearance but are of a three different sizes. One is printed with a label for 'J Sainsburys' & 'Bloater Paste', as well as other details. All of the jars are heavily & beautifully aged - they are covered in crazing, as well as discoloured beneath the glaze. in the past, these jars would have been the equivalent of disposable plastic packaging, sold in stores to carry food products. As such, they would be an ideal choice as part of your eco kitchen - use them to hold salt, pepper, stock cubes or spices. Alternatively, they would look great on a vanity unit, holding make up wipes & cotton buds. Measurements of largest... Height: approx 7.5cm Base diameter: approx 6.5cm Measurements of middle... Height: approx 5.5cm Base diameter: approx 3.5cm The jars are all in good condition, with numerous minor signs of wear including heavy crazing & aging, but no notable flaws other then a chip from the rear base of the largest jar (please see photos).
