Description
This coaster is a ceramic tile measuring 11x11cm, featuring my original design of the famous tree at Sycamore Gap, on Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland. The Hadrian's Wall Path runs right underneath the tree, & it is situated within Northumberland National Park, managed by the National Trust. The design is taken from one of my prints, which was made from a reduction linocut with a collage of monoprinted paper which I printed myself. This is a technique I have been using more & more in my work. The colour scheme is bright & bold, with blues, yellows, oranges, browns & greens. The coaster is backed in cork to prevent it from scratching your surface. I have my coasters made locally, in Whitley Bay, & they are of great quality - they will last years & years!
